Child Dedication

First Sunday of the Month

Deuteronomy 6:5-7 tells us to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up".

Child dedication is a public declaration and commitment that parents make before the church and to God that they will honour this instruction, placing importance on raising their children in a Godly manner. In turn, it is the church's commitment in helping parents by being Godly examples to their children and surrounding them with a supportive, God-loving community.
